I am a co-founder of Crowdzu, a marketplace startup in the creative crowdsourcing and crowdfunding spaces. I also build cool WordPress websites for clients, help run a couple of Meetup groups, and an annual Williamsburg, Brooklyn-based film festival.
Michael Helman is my frequent collaborator in all of the above.
Prior to all this I honed my technical skills by doing hardware and software tech support and developing in-house client/server-based applications at American Express.
I started my career building Post Digital NYC, a pioneering computer-based editing facility. Soon after I became a founding partner of Brooklyn Films, an entertainment and new media technology company. There I directed and produced feature films, music videos, TV shows, and commercials. Include my grammy-nominated work as an editor and I have been responsible for thousands of hours of programming.
Next, I started WILLiFEST, a Williamsburg, Brooklyn film festival. Always a technologist, I am also co-founder of a tech startup (Crowdzu.com).
My focus has shifted to editing video projects and providing technology services like livestreaming and video capture of live events. I have also developed numerous WordPress websites and have dabbled in Drupal.
I am a technologist and entrepreneur, developing Web applications for 20 years. I have worked at small startups as well as enterprises. After finishing a five year stint at MTV Networks, I started Grand Kru Technologies as a consultant in 2006 and worked independently before returning to full time in 2015.
I have developed and architected web sites and applications, managed teams and improved software development processes. I have worked in many industries including fashion, financial services, healthcare and media. Although I have worked in many technologies, I primarily work in Ruby on Rails and Node.

My professional career really started overnight. I was a fiber artist and wrote knitting patterns, dabbled in interior design and fell into designing logos for accounting professionals after my own stint as a bookkeeper. Within 3 months I had started a full time business of designing logos, blogger graphics and websites. I love taking someone’s favorite colors and fonts and creating a unique design that represents their business.
I have been a social media pro since the days of MySpace (talk about a #tbt!). My fascination with human interaction and motivation has led me to study the world of psychology, a field in which I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree. My research is geared towards the psychology of social media, giving me a deeper understanding of the inner workings of this technological means of communication.
My professional experience as a media publicist dates back to 2011, and since then I have handled social interactions for clients around the world. My personal blogging project “Out There Social” has helped me hone my skills of web development, branding, media management, and content creation.
I grew up on the rough and tumble streets of pre-gentrified 1970s Brooklyn where I mastered the art of Jew Jitsu – the ancient Hebrew martial art of running away. My fierce determination to wield my pen rather than my sword has led to writing that’s been featured in film and on TV.
If you’re looking for content for your website, a script for your commercial or a narrative for your video – especially humorous content – you’re in the right place.
I began my professional career as an architect in Caracas, Venezuela. Not long after arriving in New York City, I decided to pursue a career in television, and spent eight years working for the nation’s first public Hispanic television network as a producer, writer, editor, and on-camera talent. I have produced hundreds of hours of programming aimed at creating value for the Hispanic community, and have been nominated for three Emmy awards.
I am a partner at Think Happy Media, and currently produce and host my own Spanish language cooking show called Mi Cocina Virtual.
I am a Social Media Strategist and writer. My love of social media comes from my love of writing and finding just the right words to express ideas. I thrive on making ideas come to life, connecting people and sharing resources through the events and workshops that I host and organize. I frequently write and speak about social media. Metropolicks, the first book that I’ve co-written, is a romantic comedy novel. Currently, I manage the book’s social media which includes a Facebook page with nearly 25,000 fans. In 2013, I successfully raised over $15,000 through the Making History crowdfunding campaign for my current book project, the memoir of Su Beng, a Taiwanese revolutionary, activist and historian.
I offer the following wide range of services:
- Social Media services offered include: assessment of existing social media; creation/development of social media strategy; plan, manage and schedule social media postings
- Writing services offered include: web content writing, editing, and blog post writing
- Crowdfunding services offered include: pre-crowdfunding campaign launch consultation, and crowdfunding campaign management
